Te Rōpū O Tūhoronuku is an entity established to seek a mandate from Ngāpuhi people to represent them in negotiations with the Crown for reaching a settlement of all Ngāpuhi historical Treaty grievances.
Tūhoronuku’s mandate strategy sets out a proposed representative structure and outlines Tūhoronuku’s process for going about seeking a mandate from the Ngāpuhi people. The mandate strategy document is available to view on the Office of Treaty Settlements website, as well as on Tūhoronuku’s website, to give Ngāpuhi the opportunity to review it and provide feedback.
This opportunity will be available for a 6 week period. Tūhoronuku’s call for feedback will close on 2 March 2011. The Crown strongly encourages Ngāpuhi to participate in this online feedback opportunity by visiting Tūhoronuku’s website or alternatively sending comment to the Office of Treaty Settlements at, Tuhoronuku.Feedback@justice.govt.nz. All feedback received on both websites will be shared and discussed between the Crown and Tūhoronuku at the end of the 6 wk period.
