A combined regional effort by different government agencies based in Hastings has earned them a spot at the national Māori Language Awards to be held in Napier later this year.

Kua whirihia tētahi kaupapa mahi tahi i whai wāhi ai ētahi pokapū kāwanatanga ā-rohe motuhake ki te whiringa toa mō te tohu Kāwanatanga ā-Rohe ki Ngā Tohu Reo Māori 2015.

Ka whakatūria te hui tuku tohu e Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori, arā, ko te Kōmihana Reo Māori, ā, ka whakanuia te hiranga me te takohanga wā roa ki te reo Māori i ngā rāngai katoa puta noa i Aotearoa.

E ai ki a Monique Heke, ko te Kaiwhakarite mō te tari kei Ikaroa-Rāwhiti, kua manahau te rōpū mahi i te tautapahanga ki te whiringa toa o te kaupapa whakanui nei.
