Whānau Ora Champions Charmeyne Te Nana-Williams, Pati Umaga, Brendon Pongia and Piri Rurawhe are promoting the Government’s reforms as part of the transition to a NGO commissioning model.

The four champions are initiating discussion at a whānau and community level with a particular focus on articulating the importance of building capability for whānau and families.

As well as advocating and socialising the Whānau Ora approach, the champions are identifying and reporting on local-level programmes with potential for early investment by the NGO commissioning agencies.
