Administrator, Policy Partnerships

Te Puni Kōkiri, the Ministry of Māori Development, designs, develops and delivers public policy that has a significant and positive impact for Māori.

Our commitment to enable whānau, hapū and iwi to succeed underpins everything that we do.

Our people are at the heart of achieving this commitment and for that reason we are keen to recruit more talent, to add to our already existing team of capable people.

Vacancy PP056

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Administrator to join our Policy Partnerships Te Puni in our Wellington National Office.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our team runs smoothly. From organising travel and events through to budget tracking and diary management – the work you do will help our talented team of policy specialists continue to make a difference to Māori in New Zealand.

You’ll bring exceptional organisational skills along with a single-minded focus on improving outcomes for Māori. You may have an interest in the area of policy as a career – this is a supportive environment where you’ll be encouraged to learn and develop. You’ll enjoy being at the centre of policy creation and seeing the difference it makes.

At Te Puni Kōkiri, we work to create an environment where you’ll succeed as part of a whānau that is committed to the kaupapa of thriving whānau - you’ll take pride in the work that we do, because you know that it matters.

We are guided by our values of pursuing excellence (Te Wero), valuing people and relationships (Manaakitanga), working collectively (He Toa Takitini), and being creative and innovative (Ture Tangata). We invest in our people – you’ll be encouraged to develop and contribute to your fullest potential. We believe strongly in work/life balance and understand that your whānau is just as important as you. And we’re committed to your wellbeing, financial security and learning and development – we even provide in-house Te Reo Māori Training and have our own Kapa Haka group.
