Two-day wānanga to help Iwi and Māori organisations build their strategic communications skills. Presented by Māori communications / media experts Iulia Leilua and Marisa Balle with Gideon Porter from Āmua.
Aimed at small to medium Māori organisations, this wānanga recognises the limitations that scarce resources and staffing may place on their ability to communicate effectively.
Māori not for profits, corporate organisations or iwi trusts and PSGEs work hard to deliver a quality product or service. Communicating and engaging with whānau, hapū, iwi and other stakeholders is an important part of their organisation’s deliverables. Being able to report on their communications progress has a big impact on future funding success. It also influences how the organisation is perceived.
This wānanga aims to give kaimahi the basic skills and confidence they need to develop and deliver strategic communications. It can empower them to help uphold the mana of their organisation, the people they represent and the unique work that they do.
On Day 1 you will learn how to write and distribute your organisation’s story using the resources that you have.
On Day 2 you will learn how to write a 1-page communications strategy with an activities plan for the next twelve months.
NB: Catering is included for all paid attendees.
