The New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa is inviting submissions on proposals to alter three undersea feature names
Consultation on these three proposals to alter undersea feature names is open for one month from 2 June 2020 to 2 July 2020: To alter Poverty Canyon to Māhia Canyon for an undersea canyon offshore from Mahia Peninsula. To alter Matakoa Re-entrant to Matakaoa Re-entrant for an undersea re-entrant offshore from East Cape. To alter Whareama Sea Valleys to Whareama Valley for an undersea valley offshore from the Wairarapa coast.
