Ngāti Hinerangi Iwi Trust is seeking a mandate to represent Ngāti Hinerangi in negotiations with the Crown for the settlement of all Ngāti Hinerangi historical Treaty claims.
Ngāti Hinerangi Iwi Trust’s mandate strategy sets out a proposed representative structure and outlines their process to seek a mandate from Ngāti Hinerangi. It is available to view below.
There is now an opportunity to review the strategy and provide feedback. The Crown strongly encourages Ngāti Hinerangi to participate in this online feedback opportunity by sending comments to OTS_Subs@justice.govt.nz.
Feedback will close on 3 December 2012.
All feedback received will be shared and discussed between the Crown and the Trust at the end of the 2 week period.
