At a young age Riwhi Clarke overcame osteomyelitis to succeed in his passion, drafting. Drafting has seen Riwhi be involved in designing some of New Zealand’s biggest buildings.
As Chief Draughtsman with leading engineering consultants Beca Consulting Engineers, Riwhi worked on the Sky Tower, and Auckland’s ASB Centre, as well as projects in Singapore and Indonesia.
The story of Riwhi’s journey has been made into a DVD for schools in Auckland, Rotorua and Tokoroa with the support of Te Puni Kōkiri, to share how he overcame barriers to succeed. Riwhi believes passionately that education is the best vehicle to a rewarding and fulfilling life.
