Te Whanganui ā Tara hosted more than 1,100 Māori Catholics at the 62nd Hui Aranga celebrations.
The Hui Aranga is an annual celebration of cultural, spiritual and sporting needs of the Māori Catholic community. Te Puni Kōkiri supported the event through its sport and culture programme to ensure the hui was a success.
There was plenty of fun for young and old and a number of activities and competitions ranging from kapa haka and sports to wānanga, church services and whakawhanaungatanga.
