Te Puni Kōkiri has an exciting leadership opportunity available within the Policy Partnership Te Puni for those who want to work at the cutting edge of public policy and contribute to enabling iwi, hapū and whānau Māori to succeed as Māori. The position is in the Cultural Wealth team which has a focus on te reo and culture, and includes policy around Māori broadcasting and telecommunications.
As a Principal, you will be responsible for leading policy advice across a range of Māori specific work streams with a specific focus on coaching and mentoring. For this role, our ideal candidate will have significant policy experience together with a sound working knowledge of the machinery of government. You already have strong interpersonal and relationship skills and have good networks within the public sector.
You will have a strong appreciation of tikanga Māori. Fluency in te reo and having worked successfully with, or for, Māori are seen as an advantage.
